Are you new to homeschooling or are you ready to begin?

Do you wonder if you should start your homeschool journey?

There has never been a better time to homeschool with all the resources and free tools out there to help you.

Even if you have homeschooled for years like me. There is always some new websites or tools that may help along the way.

As I worked on this blogpost. I to enjoyed all the resources that are out there.  I have used some but some I have not and would like to try.

Christianbook

Christianbook is a catalog that has been around for years. I used them when my oldest children were young. They are in their 20’s now.

 They offer a different variety of curriculum choices, reading books, games, audio, cd’s and more.

Readingeggs

Readingeggs.com is an online platform that is designed to teach children to read. Using a method in which it makes it interesting and engaging through activities and through games. Creating a motivation to continue to learn. Reading eggs also has an app that parents can download.

SPELLINGCITY.COM is an online site with an app used to practice vocabulary and spelling. Great for kids in school or homeschooled.

NIGHTZOOKEEPER.COM is a place that kids can do creative writing in a safe place. They offer over a 1,000 learning activities and games. Night zookeeper’s engaging games make learning fun and help increase the child’s vocabulary and spelling skills.

Challenges and puzzles help with grammar while their stories help spark a child’s imagination.

HOFFMANACADEMY

HOFFMANACADEMY.COMLearn the piano online. With Hoffman Academy you or your child will learn with videos and Interactive games. Also, with printables and with a detailed practice plan.

If your child is in high school this program would be a great elective to receive credit for graduation.

Codecademy

Codecademy.com is a website that is self-paced and designed around teaching code at all levels.

KIDSCOOKREALFOOD

KIDSCOOKREALFOOD.COM Is an online class that teaches children to cook with real food and healthy options.

AUDIBLE

AUDIBLE- is a service that provides audible books and podcasts provided by Amazon.  It is a service that reads books to you or you can listen to their podcasts. Audible is great for adults and children alike. They have titles for all ages. Amazon offers 2 service plans. The one plan audible plus lets you have unlimited listening, whereas audible premium plus allows you the same services as Audible plus but you are able to keep one title a month.  


SPARKETH

SPARKETH.COM is an online art class for kids 6-18. Right now, they are offering a buy 1 year gift 1 free (limited time offer).

You have unlimited access to more than 1000 video lessons taught by talented mentors.

NATURE’S ART CLUB

NATURE’S ART CLUB  has a monthly painting tutorial that is in the form of a PDF or online step by step video for children. Also, a series of watercolor outlines to paint in, as well as coloring pages and worksheets to do.

Since the courses are all geared around nature, there is educational materials that are provided to help the children learn about the paintings they are creating.

BRAVEWRITER

BRAVEWRITER.COM is an online class teaching students writing skills tailored to their individual needs. They provide classes for 5-18 years old. The length of classes is around 3-6 weeks.

High schoolers will receive credit, grades, and a transcript after completing classes.

DRIVE THROUGH HISTORY

DRIVE THROUGH HISTORY.COM is an on-demand, HD streaming of their episodes.

They offer course guides, worksheets along with answer guides. They also have expert articles to help you go further in your

learning of history. When you join their membership, you will also receive access to a community of Drive Thru History fans.

At Drive-thru History, they want to make history factual and fun.

TYPESY

TYPESY.COM is an online program used by top school districts that teaches typing.

Typing is very much a part of our culture today and so it is a much-needed skill for kids.

COMPUSCHOLAR

COMPUSCHOLAR.COM is a self-study course leading students into learning computer science from home. Each course comes with a syllabus and has step-by-step lessons for learning at home. Students will complete hands-on projects during each chapter.

To get started learning these classes, having Digital Savvy is the perfect way to start children into computers skills. These introduce kids to computer skills around grades 6-12th.

TECHNOKIDS

TECHNOKIDS.COM is another computer curriculum for kids of all ages. Techno kids publishes a collection of technology projects with ready-made lessons. Each project includes a workbook, customizable resources, and a teacher guide. It is for various instruction including homeschoolers.

SKILLSHARE

SKILLSHARE.COM– Offers thousands of classes in different areas and subjects such as photography, videos on a budget, and how to edit them. Other classes include Illustration and graphic design to animation.

HOMER

HOMER– Is a reading app for ages PreK -8. This app has a reading program tailored for every child and it is centered around each child’s interest.

PHOTOMATH is an app that allows you to snap a picture of your math problem. It will then begin to give you step by step instructions on how to work the math problem. This app not only has basic math, but it also has step by step instructions on how to do up math, such as trigonometry to linear and quadratic equations.
